In 2006 York College of Pennsylvania asked us to help them with several problems common to many growing campuses. What should the entrances to the newer portions of the campus look like? How could the entrances to the older, core campus be improved? And how should the edges of the campus be designed to create a consistent public image?

We have developed designs for two major entrances to campus, including the entrance to the new West Campus and a complete renovation of the main entrance on Country Club Road, as well as several minor entrances. A coordinated system of fences, walls, lights, walks and plantings will enhance the main public edges of the campus. We are also designing a new plaza outside the addition to the Humanities Building.
