The 2004 Master Plan for Guilford’s historic campus was prompted by the College’s ambitious goal to expand its population to 3,300 students while respecting the institution’s unique character and Quaker heritage. Van Yahres Associates led a multi-disciplinary team that determined the number, type and size of new facilities needed while also identifying a number of existing facilities that could be upgraded to help accommodate growth.
More recently, Guilford asked us to help refine their entire grounds maintenance operation. The resulting Grounds Maintenance Plan gives the College a detailed blueprint for improving the visual quality and ecological health of the campus, increasing the operational efficiency of the College’s grounds crews and using finite maintenance resources in the wisest manner possible.
