Davidson College, our client since 1997, has commissioned us to redesign their main entrance into the campus. Working with the Town of Davidson and the College, we will improve the street front of a major Town street and create a beautiful arrival for visit-time visitors to the College.
At Bridgewater College, another long-time client, has commissioned us to improve three major spaces on campus including an athletic promenade at the stadium, a new entrance to Kline Student Center and the enlargement of their major parking lots.
At York College of Pennsylvania, the first three phases of our Campus Entrances and Edges project have been completed, with construction on the next three to begin soon. The College has also just asked us to undertake a Landscape Master Plan for the entire campus, which has doubled in size in the last several years.
In the latest in a long line of projects at Washington and Lee University, we are working with Glave and Holmes Architects on the design for the new Center for Jewish Life. The Center, located on a prominent edge of campus facing downtown Lexington, Virginia, will serve not only W&L students and faculty, but the entire community.
We have recently been asked to add two new projects to our on-going work at Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia. In addition to site design projects for two residence halls and reconfiguration of several large parking areas near the center of campus, we will soon begin work on a plan for renovation of the original plantings on the historic Ford Campus and a master plan for the College’s Gunby Equestrian Center.
One of the first projects recommended in our recently-completed Campus landscape Master Plan for Columbus State University was the redesign and renovation of the school’s main entrance drive. The University has asked us to prepare designs for that project, as well as a plaza in front of the new Student Success Center, the first building visitors see upon entering the campus.
Earlier this year Roanoke College asked us to begin the update of their Master Plan by studying parking on campus in expectation of a loss of over 200 spaces when a new athletic facility is under construction in a couple of years. Recently the College asked us to expand our study to include the feasibility of locating new residence halls along with the new parking.
